Jazz

Description

For age 9 and up. This class combines the basics of ballet and jazz to upbeat music. Each class will begin with ballet and the students will learn approximately one quarter of the ballet skills offered in the ballet class. The second half of the class will be jazz oriented, learning basic steps and movement used in jazz dance, such as grapevines, three-step turns and jazz squares, as they work to build fun combinations.

Dress Code

A solid colored or mild print leotard with tights or leggings. Please, no bare midriffs and bulky cover-ups. Hair pulled back and secured away from the face in a bun or ponytail secured to head. Pink ballet slippers.
